I want to start out by thanking you for entrusting your healthcare needs to me.  I have the pleasure of waking up everyday loving the work I do, and that is all thanks to you!  
A year has passed since we lost our office, and most of the town of Paradise, to the Campfire.  In the aftermath of that catastrophe, we lowered our visit fees and absorbed shipping costs in order to continue to serve those who were severely impacted by the fire; losing homes, businesses, and community.  After much deliberation, and some unexpected changes from our suppliers, we will have some changes to our pricing in the New Year.  

Appointment Pricing:

  • New Patient Appointments: $125*
  • 1/2 Hour Appointments: $50*
  • 15 Minute Appointments: $25*
  • HCG Weight Loss Program: $350* 
  • *This does not include the cost of shipping. 

Cancellation Fee:  The cancellation fee will stay the same at $25.  We ask that you give us 24 hours notice for Folsom appointments and 48 hours notice for Chico appointments to avoid incuring a cancellation fee.

Shipping Costs: As I mentioned above, we are also being affected by changes from our biggest supplement supplier, Standard Process.  They have made the decision to close their distribution warehouse in California.  Currently the closest warehouse is in Nevada, which may increase the amount of time it take for orders to be delivered.  This change also comes with an increase in shipping costs.  Instead of $8.50 for drop shipping, they have increased that price to $13.  Unfortunately this is out of our control, but we are in communication with the company to let them know what a huge impact this will have on patient care.  In order to assist you with this price increase we have decided to take on some of the shipping cost.

Pricing for shipping will be as follows:

  • Shipping with an appointment: $6
  • Shipping (for refills between appointments) $13

We are finally back home from our travels down under, and what a great trip it was! Our primary reason for going to the Brisbane/Gold Coast area was to visit the MediHerb processing plant, quality control lab, and attend a seminar in stress. It was such an honor to get to see how the herbs we use on a daily basis are processed from a plant to a pill or horible tasting liquid! We also got to spend time seeing the sights and experience the wonders of Australia. We hiked the rain forests, went to the local windlife sanctuary, scuba dived, fed the wild lorikeets, saw wild wallabies, went ocean kayaking (and nearly drowned), walked miles and miles of pristine beaches, and had some great food!

Integria Warehouse and Laboratory

  • The brand new warehouse where incoming herbs will be stored to await processing. It’s TWICE as big as the old warehouse!

Whole herb is shipped from all over the world to the Integria Warehouse in Warwick. Not only to do they take special care to source herbs from their native environment, but each shipment goes through rigerous testing to cofirm the quality of the ingredients and to exclude contaminants.

  • The turmeric is processed into a fine powder…
  • …and that powder is formed into tablets.
  • Look at all those tablets of Turmeric Forte!

One of our favorite products in the making… Turmeric Forte! This machine packs the turmeric powder into tablets and then knocks off the sharp edges so they go down easier! The completely automated system is able to sort out broken, sharp, or mishapen pills. Look at all that turmeric, yum!

  • We learned some visual identification tools…
  • …and how to identify plants using a Mass Spectrometer.
  • Extensive research goes into determining the correct expiration dates.
  • Tiny “digestive systems” working on dissolving pills.

Ever wonder how long it takes for a vitamin to dissolve once you swallow it? This machine simulates digestion and allows the research team to make sure that nutritents are being released at the right time for optimal absorption into the body!

Family vacations have always been an important way for us to unwind and reconnect. Even though we see each other on a nearly daily basis, it’s just better when we are having adventures together! Whether you travel abroad, do a stay-cation, or go on a camping trip, family time is always time well spent!
